Hybrid system of the Medical Faculty of Münster

Medical Faculty of Münster

Since the winter semester of 2021/22, all lectures at the Medical Faculty of Münster have been offered as hybrid courses — students can participate online or on site, with an identical level of interaction in both modes. The system, initially developed by Maurice Dellin, is now installed in more than 40 rooms across the medical campus — and since 2025, we have been maintaining and developing it further.

Media technology in the Study Lab Münster

Medical Faculty of Münster

We play a key role in the design and installation of modern media technology on the upper floor of the new Study Lab building at Coesfelder Kreuz. At the heart of the setup is the 1,600 m² open space on the first upper floor, which we are equipping with six individually configurable media and livestream stations — based on the Extron NAV system with UNIVERSE as control software. Once complete, more than 50 different video and audio signals can be interconnected.

Hybrid conference technology at the Bildungs- und Begegnungs-Campus

St. Franziskus-Stiftung Münster

For the new Bildungs- und Begegnungs-Campus building, we support the design and equipment of a total of three hybrid-capable conference rooms — using the system already proven at the Medical Faculty of Münster.

Video productions

Since our founding, we have been supporting a variety of video and photo productions — directly on site, by renting out hardware, or by assisting with video editing.

planklar

Software development

planklar

Since spring 2026, we have been developing planklar, an innovative system for automated staff scheduling in hospitals: staff submit their preferences on mobile, and an optimization solver computes a fair schedule in under two minutes — with fairness tracking across the scheduling history, a shift-swap portal, and calendar integration, self-hosted and GDPR-compliant. planklar has been in use at Münster University Hospital since summer 2026.

OPtrace

Software development

OPtrace

Münster University Hospital

With OPtrace, we are building a system for the Department of Trauma, Hand, and Reconstructive Surgery at Münster University Hospital that tracks residents’ surgical training progress: once the surgical report is signed in ORBIS, the case is transferred automatically, and surgeon and assistant document via a personal link — no login required — which surgical steps were performed at which level of autonomy. Dashboards show progress against the target numbers of the ÄKWL training catalog and the learning curve for each surgical step.

ArthroGuess

Software development

ArthroGuess

With ArthroGuess, we are developing a learning quiz for arthroscopic training: the app shows an arthroscopic image, and players identify which joint it comes from — with instant feedback, a scoring system, and a leaderboard. Rounds of configurable length with an exam mode, images that rotate like the arthroscope itself, and role-based image management make the app a training tool for physicians in orthopedics and trauma surgery.

plexus

With plexus, we develop an open collection of opinionated guidelines, tools, and building blocks for developing and self-hosting apps: standardized monorepo templates, reusable CI/CD pipelines, and automated server operations. True to the motto “Standardized, Boring, Yours.”, every new project goes live with near-zero overhead — properly documented and reproducible. plexus is open source (GPL-3.0), and this very website runs on it.
